Terms and Conditions of Service

     Set forth in this document are the terms of use for Motor View's website and services and outlines services provided by Motor View. By using this site, you agree to be bound by these terms of use, and you confirm that you are a legal adult age 18 or older. If you do not agree to these terms of use or are under the age of 18, you are not authorized to use this site in any manner.

  1. "Site" refers to this website, including all of its content and policies. Motor View may change the Site, including these Terms and Conditions of Services, at any time at its sole discretion and without prior notice. All changes posted to the Site are effective immediately.

  2. Neither Motor View, any employess, subsidiaries, nor any affiliates can be held liable or responsible in any way for damage or change in condition of vehicle after inspection is complete. If you believe the vehicle to be in a different condition than reported by Motor View, you should contact either the delivery service or sales source to enquire about such change in condition.

  3. Every inspection package price is based on a 20-mile one way trip for the inspector. Any travel distance to an inspection site that exceeds this distance will be assessed an additional fee of $0.85 per mile to cover time and resources for the inspector.

  4. For your protection, Motor View will never keep your payment information stored in any way. Any submitted payment information will be used right away to process your payment only.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

     All refund requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled inspection appointment by email only using the Contact Us page located on this site. Please provide name, transaction ID, make and model information. Refund requests over the phone will not be accepted. Refunds will be honored minus a $29 dollar administrative fee. In the event that the seller refuses permission for an inspection on the day of the inspection, the customer ordering the inspection will be refunded all monies less a $29 dollar administration fee in the same format as payment was received. If the inspection is refused after the inspector has already traveled to the inpsection site, an additional fee of $0.85 per travel mile to the inspection site will also be retained by Motor View.

Disclaimer: Motor View does not make any representation or expressed/implied warranties regarding its service, or in consideration of the vehicle’s design, compliance with any manufacturer specifications, operation, mechanical condition or safety of any vehicle inspected or any components' parts.

Liability: In the event that Motor View cannot perform the inspection for whatever reason, Motor View's sole liability shall be limited to the refund of the inspection service fee. In no event will the liability of Motor View and its employees, officers, directors, partners, agents and affiliates exceed the amount of the fees paid by you to Motor View.

Under no circumstances shall Motor View, its affiliated companies, or any of their respective employees, directors, officers, agents, vendors, or suppliers be responsible for any direct or indirect losses or damages arising out of, or in connection with, the use or inability to use the website and/or content, including without limitation, your reliance on any information or data points.

Vehicle Inspection Disclaimer

     Motor View inspectors are trained to evaluate the condition of a vehicle at the time the inspection takes place. Their subsequent inspection report is based on what they see and hear during the inspection. To ensure the most accurate inspection, the vehicle’s exterior and interior must be clean and the vehicle must be in a well lit area. If a vehicle is outdoors, weather may also affect the accuracy of the inspection report. Of course, every reasonable measure will be taken to ensure the absolute highest level inspection with regard to accuracy and quality. Motor View inspectors do not disassemble any vehicle components as part of its vehicle inspection procedure.

Motor View inspectors conduct an extensive inspection that allows their trained eyes and ears to evaluate a vehicle’s overall condition. The inspection is similar to one you yourself might conduct except Motor View inspectors have the experience you don’t, to spot things like unusual wear and tear, and evidence of previous repair and/or body work. Ultimately, the inspector comes to conclusions that are by necessity subjective, but based on their extensive experience of inspecting hundreds of vehicles each year.

All general use vehicles are eligible for Motor View inspections. Vehicles with commercial use applications will be inspected on a case by case basis at the sole discretion of Motor View. Motor View may honor inspection requests for certain highline exotic vehicles such as Ferraris, Vipers, etc. However, due to liability reasons, the inspector may not test drive these types of vehicles personally. However, the inspector may observe the test drive by sitting in the passenger seat while the owner drives the vehicle.

Motor View’s comprehensive inspection includes all reasonably accessible items that allow the inspector to offer an informed opinion on the condition of a vehicle. Clients may request additional items be inspected and the Motor View representative will attempt to comply with their requests. However, Motor View does not guarantee that the additional items will be inspected. If the item is not mentioned in the "additional comments" section, it was not inspected. The client can assume the inspection was made to the Motor View specification.

We will make a reasonable effort to complete a test drive. The Motor View vehicle inspection may include a test drive where the inspector rides along with the owner of the vehicle. However, if circumstances such as owner’s refusal, unsuitable weather, lack of license plate or current registration, mechanical issues or lack of access to appropriate driving roads prevent a test drive, the inspection report will still be completed. If there is no reference to a test drive in the Motor View inspection report, it was not conducted. The lack of a test drive due to any circumstances does not provide any remedy or recourse to the customer ordering the inspection report.

All fees and charges must be paid at the time the inspection is ordered. Motor View accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Paypal. Clients cancelling their scheduled inspection for any reason will be charged a $29 dollar administration fee. Refunds will be applied in the same manner as payment was received.

The Motor View inspection report reflects the condition of the vehicle at the time of the inspection. That condition is subject to change between the time the inspection is conducted and the actual purchase of the vehicle. These changes may result from physical damage to the vehicle, owner modifications, damage incurred during transportation of the vehicle, inferior repairs, wear and tear, etc. These changes may reduce the value of the vehicle. Motor View is not liable for any such changes that occur after its inspectors complete their inspection.

Privacy Policy

     At Motor View, we highly value our customers and provide a steadfast commitment to protecting and guarding your privacy as well as protecting the information we receive and maintain about you. Motor View will not sell, lease, loan, or give information about you to anyone not directly involved in executing a proper Motor View inspection and delivering the results to you in a timely manner. The only exception would be to any official requests from a legal authority in due course of judicial administration. This statement describes the company’s privacy policy for this site, and dictates the manner in which the company collects, manages, and discloses information collected from its users. We adhere to all applicable laws when sharing information. By using the website, you are in agreement with this private policy statement. In the event that you do not agree to this private policy, please do not use this website in any form or manner.

The Information Motor View Collects
Throughout your time spent on the website, including any self-reported information, Motor View collects personally identifiable data from you, self-reported information which may include, without limitations: name, permanent address, city, state, zip code, work phone number, work address, home phone number, e-mail addresses, vehicle, make, model, and vehicle identification number. Furthermore, we may also collect other forms of data such as traffic patterns, usage, and user demographics based on the self-reported data. This information is collected for purposes of providing service for you or assisting you in obtaining products and/or services solicited by Motor View and/or third parties through the website.

How Does Motor View Keep Your Information Secure
Motor View has established high-level security measures and procedures in the storage of self-reported information. We employ what we believe to be industry standard security measures to guard against the loss, misuse and alteration of nonpublic personal information under our control, and we restrict access to your nonpublic personal information within our organization to those employees who need to know the nonpublic personal information to provide information, services and/or products to you. Nonetheless, due to the internet environment, computer networks, systems and other unknown factors, no transmission of data over the Internet is assured to be completely protected. Under certain circumstances, it may be possible for third parties not under the control of Motor View to capture or access transmissions or confidential communications unlawfully, regardless of our best attempts in protecting you and your confidential information. Therefore, we cannot make certain or guarantee the security of any information you send to us, including, without limitation, nonpublic personal information.
